September 30th 2011, NovaSolar’s team visited and had a technical exchange with GuangDong PV Center in ZhongShan University .
NovaSolar has one of the most advanced PV thin-film technology in the world, therefore, GuangDong PV Centre invited NovaSolar to discuss about the technology details with the professionals of Guangdong PV Centre, and the teachers /students of ZhongShan University whose major is in PV solar thin film technology.
The topic of the meeting mainly revolved the technology focus of NovaSolar, which is aiming to make solar energy cost competitive with fossil fuel generation of electricity (Grid Parity) , NovaSolar’s team shared the story of developing breakthrough a-si thin film technologies and own high quality production equipment, so they were able to accomplish the fastest commercialization record in the industry by achieving substantial mass production in less than 3 years.
NovaSolar's team including the Chief Technology Officer Mr. Gautam Ganguly and Chief Engineer Mr. Erik Vaaler who travelled all the way from NovaSolar R&D center in Silicon Valley US gave the speeches in the meeting and answered the questions from teachers and students.
